Information Service of INTERNATIONAL ROUND TABLE Two-day round table "State, Church and Civil Society", organised by the Christian Cultural Centre and the Federal Secretariat for Religious Affairs, started today at the Theological Faculty of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Belgrade. - The organiser of this gathering wanted to elaborate on this topic, presently crucial for us, from different angles: theological, sociological, and political, taking into account international law and international conventions on human rights and freedoms, as well as positive legal framework of FRY and Serbia - said father Radovan Bigovic, Th.D., Dean of the Theological Faculty of the Serbian Orthodox Church at the opening of this meeting which gathered approximately twenty representatives from Italy, Greece, Germany, USA and our country. Messrs Bogoljub Sijakovic -Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs and Vojislav Milovanovic - Republic Minister for Religious Affairs greeted the participants of this gathering. |
