OUR RECOMMENDATION FOR READING:
SECOND EDITION OF THE BOOK “IMPRISONED CHURCH”

The second, expanded edition, of the book “Imprisoned Church” authored by archpriest Savo Jovic, was published by the Orthodox Missionary School, existing with the Church of Saint Alexander of Neva in Belgrade.

This book aroused great interest of readers, bearing in mind that it focuses on the afflictions of the clergy of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the period 1945-1985. The first edition was sold in less than three months.

According to the writer Antonije Djuric, one of the reviewers: each sentence in this book is deeply moving; the author states all the horrible tortures and ways of killing that the victims suffered. Everything has been stated in brief, telegraphic style: killed by a blow with mallet in the back of the head, cast into a swollen river, riddled with bullets from heavy machine-gun, poisoned by coffee, killed by hammer, beaten to death, brutally slaughtered (cut from one ear to the other). Archpriest Savo wove a martyr wreath to all the victims of the communist tyranny with.
