Information Service of THE DRIVE “LET’S ANIMATE SERBIA” FINISHED His Holiness Pavle, Serbian Patriarch, presented directors of 18 medical institutions of Serbia with deeds of gifts today. Those institutions were given incubators for pre-mature children, the funds for which were provided by a drive of the Serbian Orthodox Church “Let’s Animate Serbia” (the total number of provided incubators is 33). Prince Aleksandar and Princess Katarina whose humanitarian organisation donated those 18 mentioned incubators organised a suitable reception to mark this event in Beli dvor. Their Graces Irinej - Bishop of Backa, Pahomije – Bishop of Vranje and Jovan – Bishop of Sumadija attended the reception. His Holiness thanked the Karadjordjevic family for all the activities made “to the benefit of the Serbian people and the Serbian Church” as well as to all the other benefactors, for being “able to help and support the drive and complete this utterly necessary, noble and God-pleasing deed” - In difficult circumstances such as these we need to help children stay alive and, when they grow up, become worthy individuals useful to the community and the society – Patriarch Pavle said and prayed to God to make their lives easier than the lives of the present generations. |
