Information Service of AWARDS TO THE
BEST PARTICIPANTS IN His Grace Georgije, Bishop of Canada, received primary school pupils – winners of the awards of the competition EASTER, AS CHILDREN SEE IT in the Patriarchate Palace in Belgrade today. The competition was organised by the Information Service of the Serbian Orthodox Church and radio broadcast ORTHODOXY, authored by Ms. Zorica Salijevic. This radio broadcast is broadcast with the blessing of His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle every week, from 14:00 – 15:30. Approximately 250 drawings and painted Easter eggs arrived for the competition, and the committee – consisting of Mrs Vera Muskatelo Maric, editor of Radio Politika; Mr Dragomir Sando, MA, Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Theology in Belgrade; Mr Dusan Stokanovic, Editor of the Information Service of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the team realising the broadcast Orthodoxy: Jovana Gavrilovic, Marijana Srbinovska and the author herself – selected the ten best drawings and the three best painted Easter eggs. Awards were conferred today to the awarded pupils in the premises of the Information Service of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the presence of parents, catechists, and teachers. Bishop Georgije conferred awards on the best participants of the competition and advised them to follow the example of the greatest and most famous Serbian son – Saint Sava, and to obey their parents and teachers. |
