Information Service of FROM THE EASTERNMOST PART OF RUSSIA Orthodox faithful in the city of Southern Sakhalin, in the Russian island of Sakhalin in the Japanese Sea, asked the city authorities to stop the construction of the house for religious gatherings of the sect Jehovah's Witnesses. The city court adopted the request of the Orthodox faithful and stopped further construction of the mentioned building. Bishop Danilo of Sakhalin pointed out that such sects should not exist at all, but since Russia is the country in which the work of Jehovah's Witnesses is not forbidden, such a decision made by the court is a pleasant surprise. |
