HAD TALKS
His Eminence Amfilohije Mitropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral and His Grace Irinej Bishop of Backa, members of the delegation of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church which is paying an official visit to Vatican, yesterday met with Cardinal Walter Casper - President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. After the talks with Cardinal Casper, the delegation of the Serbian Church (comprising the Dean of the Faculty of Theology Dr. Vladan Perisic and Archimandrite Andrej Cilerdzic) was received by Cardinal Jean-Louis Toran, the Secretary of the Vatican Secretariat for Relations with States. In the afternoon, members of the delegation visited the Cathedral dedicated to Saint John Latheran and Latheran University where they talked with the Rector of this institution. After this, they talked with professors in Pontifical Oriental Institute, and during the evening Cardinal Casper prepared dinner for the members of the delegation. Many cardinals and other officials attended the dinner, among who there was Mr Darko Tanaskovic, Ph.D. Ambassador of FRY in Vatican. |
