Information Service of METOPOLITAN KIRIL MET WITH CARDINAL WALTER KASPER On 19 March 2003, Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, DECR Vice-Chairman, met in Geneva with Cardinal Walter Kasper, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. These two high church officials discussed the relations between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church. During the open and frank conversation, they agreed that further consultations should be focused on the resolving of problems that exist between the two Churches. |
