Information Service of MOBA 2003 GATHERING On April 10, 2003, a press conference was held in the Belgrade hotel “Palas”, on the occasion of the action Moba 2003. His Grace Lavrentije, Bishop of Sabac/Valjevo hosted the press conference. For the third time the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Royal House of the Karadjordjevic family organised this event together. As of July 19 till August 19, a great number of young Serbs from Australia, America, Great Britain, Germany, France, Slovenia, Romania and Sweden will work together with children from Serbia and Montenegro on the construction and renovation of the shrines in five dioceses of the Serbian Orthodox Church: of Sabac/Valjevo, Budimlje/Niksic, Zica, Backa and Srem. For the first time the Russians will also arrive, 20 persons confirmed their participation in Moba 2003. The number of participants is not yet final, since new applications arrive every day. Up to now, a significant amount of the financial funds has been provided, and it is known that the Ministries of Health and Education of the Republic of Serbia respectively will take care of the medical protection and accommodation of the participants. The TV Novi Sad will shoot a film about Moba 2003 as it did last year, and honourable donors will provide gifts for all the participants. |
