Information Service of BISHOP JOANIKIJE VISITED THE PARISH OF PLAV/GUSINJE This weekend His Grace Joanikije Bishop of Budimlje-Niksic visited the Parish of Plav/Gusinje. On that occasion Bishop Joanikije posted hieromonk Joanikije (Djukic) to be the head of the Holy Trinity Monastery, besides his regular duty of the parish priest of Plav/Gusinje.
His Grace visited the building site of the church at Gusinje, the church which is King Aleksandar’s endowment, and Vojno Selo where the church dedicated to Saint Nicholas is being built.
Bishop Joanikije and the priests served the first Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Holy Trinity Church at Vinicka which has not still been finished. Before the Holy Liturgy the crosses (later on placed on the top of the dome) had been consecrated, and Bishop Joanikije performed collective baptism. After all the services the faithful remained at common lunch. |
