MEMORIAL SERVICE TO THE BOYS, VICTIMS OF SHIPTAR TERROR

This evening the memorial service was served to Pantelija Dakic and Ivan Jovovic - the boys who were killed by the Shiptar terrorist on August 14, 2003 at Gorazdevac. The service was held before a large number of the faithful who crowded the Saint Sava Church and its yard at Vracar.

Archpriest-Staurophor Stevan Vlacic, Head of the Saint Sava Church, served the service together with eight more priests and four deacons. Mr Nebojsa Covic, Head of the Coordination Centre for Kosovo and Metochia, members of the Homeland Society Gorazdevac in Belgrade, and members of the Association of Societies from Kosovo and Metochia who had previously held peaceful demonstrations at Trg Republike against the Shiptar terror, also attended this touching service. Some hundred Serbs from Metochia were supposed to attend the service as well, but KFOR and UNMIK refused to escort them.
