PROPHET His Grace Irinej Bishop of Backa consecrated the foundation stone and the foundations of the future church dedicated to Saint Elijah the Prophet at Palic, on the feast of Saint Elijah – August 2 in the afternoon. Many eminent persons attended this event and the subsequent endowment of gratitude charters to the people merited for the completion of the church. That same day His Grace Porfirije Auxiliary Bishop of Jegar blessed the lifting of crosses to the newly built church dedicated to Saint Elijah the Prophet at Gakovo near Sombor. |
