(BELGRADE) 26 February 2004 – His Holiness Serbian Patriarch PAVLE, regarding today's tragic death of Republic of Macedonia President Boris Trajkovski and his co-workers, sent a telegram expressing his condolences to Republic of Macedonia Prime Minister BRANKO CRVENKOVSKI, noting:

With regard to the horrible tragedy – the tragic death in a plane crash of Republic of Macedonia President Boris Trajkovski and his delegation, we ask you, Mr. President, that together with the families of the deceased to receive our sincere sympathies.

We pray the Lord to grant eternal rest to the departed in the Kingdom of Heaven, and to you and their families comfort in your pain.
