NOTICE FROM THE DIOCESE OF BACKA

We wish to inform all Orthodox faithful in Novi Sad that on Tuesday, April 12, 2005, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the Orthodox cathedral of St. George the Great-martyr in Novi Sad, the Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts will be served. His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle will be officiating at the service.

After the Liturgy in the Bishop’s residence a working meeting will be held, including His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle and the members of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Most Rev. Archbishop Stanislav Hocevar of Belgrade and members of the Bishops’ Conference of Serbia and Montenegro.

In the early evening, at 6:00 p.m. the eminent guests will attend eucharistic services in the Roman Catholic church of the Name of Mary with the Archbishop of Belgrade presiding.

We invite the faithful to come to Orthodox cathedral in number, to take part in the Holy Liturgy and to receive the blessing of His Holiness the Patriarch.
