PRESS CONFERENCE ON THE OCCASION OF THE RETURN OF THE OFFICIAL SERBIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH DELEGATION FROM THE U.S.A.

On the occasion of the return of the delegation of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, which visited the United States of America with the blessing of His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle and met there with senior representatives of the U.S. Government and officials of the United Nations, a press conference will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. in the Patriarchate in Belgrade.

By way of reminder, the delegation of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church is comprised of His Grace Bishop Jovan of Sumadija, a member of the Holy Synod of Bishops, as head of the delegation; His Grace Bishop Grigorije of Zahumlje and Herzegovina, a member of the advisory body of the SOC Kosovo and Metohija Committee; His Grace Vicar Bishop Teodosije of Lipljan, the vice-chairman of Kosovo and Metohija Committee and the abbot of Visoki Decani Monastery; Rev. Fr. Irinej Dobrijevic, the special advisor on international and inter-religious issues to the Holy Synod of Bishops and the head of the Office of the Kosovo and Metohija Committee; Prof. Dr. Bogoljub Sijakovic, vice dean of the Orthodox Theological School of the University of Belgrade; Mr. Andrew Verich, director of the Serbian Unity Congress office in Washington, D.C.; and Mr. Miroslav Starovlah, delegation secretary.
