RESIDENTS OF KOSTOLAC CONTINUE TRADITION

In the Diocese of Branicevo Presbyter Aleksandar Mihailovic of the church of St. Maxim the Confessor baptized 14 residents of Kostolac in the Dunavac River near town. The faithful arrived with their godparents (kumovi) and family members on the beach at Kostolac and were happy to allow the hand of Father Aleksandar to submerge them in the waters of the Dunavac. After the baptism the entire group went to the new and yet incomplete church of St. Maxim the Confessor for Holy Liturgy. Father Aleksandar said that a tradition of group baptism in Kostolac on the feast of Sts. Peter and Paul is in the process of being established. Last year 35 faithful were baptized on this day.
