part of the pilgrimages of Russian Orthodox Christians, His Eminence
Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, chairman of the
Moscow Patriarchate Department for External Church Relations,
visited the island of Corfu on December 21, 2004 and on this occasion

Since the relics of St. Spiridon have healing properties, Metropolitan
Kirill in his sermon discussed miraculous healings in connection
with holy relics in the Orthodox Church. He then spoke of the
blessings of the Living God in the Church which affect all faithful
for Christ is the Source of Life and the First of all creation.

the increase of fraternal love between the Greek and Russian Orthodox
