Serbian Choir Association sends all its affiliated singing societies,
choirs, presidents, secretaries, administrations, conductors,
choir directors, composers, soloists and singers Christmas greetings,
and wishes them a joyous holiday of the Nativity of the God-Child,
Our Lord Jesus Christ, and best wishes for their advancement and

PATRIARCH
PAVLE IN KOSOVO AND METOHIJA FOR CHRISTMAS
His
Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle has departed for Kosovo and Metohija.
On Christmas Eve and Chrstmas Day, His Holiness will serve in
his Stavropegial lavra of the Pec Patriarchate.
BISHOP
OF BACKA RECEIVES DIRECTORS OF NOVI SAD
PUBLIC COMPANIES
His
Eminence Bishop Irinej of Backa together with Bishop Porfirije
of Jegar, vicar bishop of the Diocese of Backa, received the directors
of several public companies from the city in the bishop’s residence
in Novi Sad.
They
agreed upon further cooperation between the Diocese of Backa and
city institutions in the realization of several projects, including
sites for the building of new churches, restoration of the bishop’s
residence, completion of work in progress on new churches and
restoration of older ones, restoration of the monastery of Kovilj,
maintenance and protection of areas around church buildings, cooperation
with the city television station, etc. Bishop Irinej thanked his
guests for their goodwill and willingness to work together and
wished them a blessed Christmas holiday and a happy new year.

DIRECTOR OF MIROSLAV KRLEZA LEXICOGRAPHICAL INSTITUTE
VISITS KRKA MONASTERY
Bishop
Fotije of Dalmatia received a visit from the director of the Miroslav
Krleza Lexicographical Institute and the vice president of Matica
Hrvatska, Mr. Vlaho Bogisic, and the president of SKD Prosvjeta,
Mr. Cedomir Visnjic in the Krka monastery of the Holy Archangels
on January 4, 2005.
On
the occasion of his visit to Krka Monastery, Mr. Bogisic donated
all editions of encyclopedias published by the Lexicographical
Institute in Zagreb to the library of the Holy Three Hierarchs
Seminary.
Topics discussed during the conversation included cooperation
between the Lexicographical Institute and the Seminary, and cooperation
between the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia and
Krka Monastery, especially with regard to the return of the monastery
treasury and the assistance the monastery as a cultural monument
expects from the Ministry of Culture for restoration of the monastery,
particularly facilities for storage of the monastery treasury.
