GRADUATES
OF ST. PETER OF CETINJE SEMINARY SET OUT ON PILGRIMAGE TO HOLY
LAND
Graduates
of the St. Peter of Cetinje Seminary departed on a journey to
the Holy Land and the Sinai Peninsula. His Grace Bishop Joakim
of Velic and the first rector of the restored Cetinje Seminary,
Protopresybter-Stavrophor Momcilo Krivokapic, will lead the group
of pilgrims, including professors and students of the Cetinje
Seminary.
This year’s graduating class of the Cetinje Seminary is the tenth
since the schools restoration in 1992. Following the example of
the first graduating class of the school, which visited Jerusalem
and the Holy Land on its graduation trip, the administration decided
that the class on the school’s ten-year anniversary would follow
in their footsteps.
During the course of their pilgrimage from February 23 to March
9, the seminarians will venerate the Holy Shrines of the Holy
City of Jerusalem, the Jordan Valley, the Tiberiad and Mt. Sinai.
The professors and students of the Cetinje Seminary will also
be received by His Holiness the Patriarch of Jerusalem, the rector
of the Jerusalem Seminary, and the elders of numerous monasteries
in the region. As well, the pilgrims of Cetinje are planning,
by the grace of God, to visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial
Center.
