REGULAR FALL SESSION OF HOLY ASSEMBLY
OF BISHOPS BEGINS
 The regular fall session of the Holy Assembly of Bishops of
the Serbian Orthodox Church began today in the Belgrade Patriarchate
with the Invocation of the Holy Spirit in the patriarchal church
of St. Simeon the Myrrh-gusher, served by his Grace Bishop Gerasim
of Gornji Karlovac in the presence of His Holiness Serbian Patriarch
Pavle, and Their Graces the Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church
from the homeland and abroad.
The highest legislative body of the Serbian Orthodox Church
will dedicate special attention to the situation of the Serbian
Church and people in Kosovo and Metohija, the suffering of the
Autonomous Archdiocese of Ochrid and its head, His Beatitude
Archbishop Jovan, as well as measures for the enhancement and
modernization of church education in accordance with the highest
European standards.
At the conclusion of its session the Holy Assembly of Bishops
will issue a Public Statement.
