The Metropolitan of France visited Lille
Metropolitan Emmanuel of France officiated the Divine Liturgy at the Saint Paul Church in Lille on Sunday, June 30.The priest and the chairperson of the Church Council, Fr. Émilien, welcomed the Metropolitan.
In his speech, the Metropolitan of France stressed the role of the Apostles and the historical continuity of the Church from the Apostolic Age until today.
He said that we must respect the virtues and principles of the Bible, setting them as a guide for our daily life. Particularly, he read the pericope of the day and spoke of the sufferings of Apostle Paul for his faith in Christ, urging everyone to follow his example.
The Metropolitan and the Chief of the Temple bade the outgoing Greek Colonel farewell at the NATO Headquarters in Lille.
