Seminar for the Orthodox Youth in Kinshasa, Congo
For the second time, the Holy Metropolis of Kinshasa organized a Seminar for the Orthodox Youth.
The Seminar was held in the Parish of the Archangels, where the foundation stone of the Temple was set up by Patriarch Theodore ΙΙ of Alexandria and All Africa, in the year 2012.
The seminar was attended by all the representatives of the youth of all the Parishes of the Metropolis of Kinshasa. Among other topics, the history of the Orthodox Church was developed by Father Theodore TSHIBINDA, priest of the parish, the Doctrine and Sacred Tradition in the Orthodox Church by the Patriarchal Commissioner of Goma, Archimandrite Hariton, while Urania MATALATALA spoke about the use of the social media by Christian young people today and family’s and society’s respect towards the woman.
After the end of the contributions, questions were answered by the Archbishop and the speakers, who were new scientists, theologians, lawyers, computer science graduates, doctors, historians.
On Sunday, July 21, 2019, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the church of the Holy Archangels by Metropolitan Nikiforos Mikragiannanitis of Kinshasa. The participants chanted divided into two choirs.
After the Divine Liturgy, a closing reception of the Seminar followed.
