Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana: We need resistance to pandemic
Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana and all Albania sents a message to the faithful regarding the coronavirus.
As he points out, “It is as if a new World War has been declared by an invisible enemy.” Moreover, he urges the faithful to avoid panic, depression and despair and to stay calm, to have a clear mind, and to be disciplined as for the decisions taken by the government and health authorities. “I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart the cleaners, the public authorities, the media, and especially the doctors and nurses, who are on the front lines in the fight against coronavirus and take care of all patients,” he said.
In addition, he urges all faithful to stay home and pray more intensely asking God to give an and to the trial and to show the way to scientists to find the proper treatment. He stressed, “First and foremost, we must strengthen our faith in God. Faith and love are the most powerful weapons we can use against this invisible virus that threatens humanity. Let us be courageous, remain hopeful, and above all, promote solidarity. May God give us strength and patience in order to endure this trial and to comply with the difficult decisions that changed our lives.”
