Hollywood star Jonathan Jackson offers his Emmy Award to Mount Athos Monastery

During his five day visit, Jackson spent most of his time at the Vatopedi Monastery in the Monks Republic Mount Athos to honour the Dormition of the Virgin Mary but also visited the Xenophontos and Simonopetra Monasteries.

A conference dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth and the 100th anniversary of the martyrdom of Russia’s last tsar, Royal Martyr Nicholas II will be held in Colchester, England in late October.
The conference will be held at St. John of Shanghai Orthodox Church in Colchester, England on Saturday, October 27.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, served the Holy Liturgy in the church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in the Vidikovac District of Belgrade on the occasion of the patron’s feast-day of the church, on 19 August 2018.
His Holiness was concelebrated by priests of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac: protopresbyter-staurophorBrankoMitrovic, presbyters Nikola Gavric, Emil Milovanonvic and AleksandarMilutinovic, protodeacon RadomirPercevic and deacon Sinisa Duvnjak. There was a procession after which grapes were blessed that the faithful had brought for blessing.
