1. Септембар 2017 - 9:25The celebration started with a bounty of fresh flowers adorning the church prepared by Luba Karnaookh. Saturday Vespers and Blessing of the Five Loaves was lead by Bishop Maxim, our resident clergy and two guest deacons: Deacon Vladan Radovanovich and Deacon Branislav Kedzich, professor of Theological school from Belgrade, Serbia. We were also blessed with the presence of Sister Irina a nun from monastery Gracanica in Kosovo, who made this day even more festive.

Август 2017 - 10:59On the day when the Church celebrates the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God, 28 August 2017, His Eminence Metropolitan Porfirije of Zagreb-Ljubljana officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of Bishop of Dalmatia, elected Bishop of Zvornik and Tuzla Fotije; Bishop Gerasim of Gornji Karlovac, Bishop Jovan of Slavonia and Bishop of Frankfurt and All Germany and elected Bishop of Bihac-Petrovac Sergije.

This day was not chosen by mistake, it was a feast-day of Holy King Stephen (Istvan), the first Christian king among Hungarians, who was enlisted in the dyptich of saints of the Orthodox Church as well. The Day of Holy King Stephen is celebrated in Hungary very solemnly as one of the greatest holidays.
Pan-Orthodox Service in Philadelphia
24. Август 2017 - 13:52On Sunday August 20 St. Nicholas in Philly hosted the Pan Orthodox service of the Supplicatory Canon of the Mother of God. The service, sponsored by the clergy brotherhood of Greater Philadelphia is served during the Dormition fast, and hosted by various Orthodox Churches in Philadelphia. The service was edified by the beautiful singing of the Pan Orthodox Choir of Greater Philadelphia under the expert direction of Dan Drobish.
