Prince's supper in Krusevac

On the Eve of St. Vitus Day, on June 27, after the feast day's evening service a tradition of holding "Prince's supper" was restored as it was before going to "the Battle of Kosovo" in Saint Lazar's and capital city of Krusevac.
St. Vitus Day in Lazarica celebrated

On St. Vitus day, June 28, 2012, Bishop David of Krusevac served the Divine Liturgy in Lazarica church with the concelebration of priests and deacons of the Diocese of Krusevac. After the Holy Liturgy the memorial service was served in Lazarica church from where the procession with the relics of Holy Prince Lazar went to the Monument to the Kosovo Heroes where the memorial service was served for the suffered soldiers and military leaders from Kosovo until today.
Slava of the Gendarmery - St Vitus Day marked

Members of the Special unit of the Ministry of the Internal Affairs Gendarmery celebrated the slava of the unit - Saint Vitus Day. On behalf and with the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno, vicar of the Patriarch, cut the slava cake with the host of the slava Mr. Ivica Dacic.

Patriarch Irinej: Let us be united in honesty and patriotism
Serbian Patriarch Irinej served today on St. Vitus Day the Divine Liturgy with the concelebration of Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren, retired Bishop Atanasije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina and vicar Bishop Jovan of Lipljan, as well as forty priests from many Dioceses of the SOC in the fulfilled courtyard of the monastery of Gracanica.
The Patriarch said on this occasion that "freedom is the greatest gift that God gave man and the Serbian freedom is tied to the Holy Cross for which Kosovo heroes and heroes after the Battle of Kosovo had fought".The Patriarch invited all to unity in the honesty and patriotism.
