St. Alexander of Neva’s relics to be brought from St. Petersburg to the USA
Relics of St. Alexander of Neva will be brought from St. Petersburg to the USA where Orthodox believers and representatives of other Christian confessions will have a chance to worship them.
‘Bringing relics of the holy prince to the USA is another important stage in strengthening unity between the Russian Church Outside of Russia and the Moscow Patriarchate’, St. Andrew Foundation president and senator Sergey Scheblygin said at the foundation’s board of trustees session in Moscow. He reminded that St. Alexander’s relics have visited many dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church in Russia and Russia’s near-abroad this autumn and its particle was gifted to the reliquary of the Christ the Savior Cathedral.
