First anniversary of Patriarch Kirill enthronement marked in Moscow
The first anniversary of the enthronement of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia was marked at the Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow on Monday morning. The Patriarch served a Divine Liturgy in the cathedral, where the enthronement took place precisely a year ago.
Archpriests of the Moscow Patriarchate from Russia, former Soviet republics and other states attended the service. They will also take part in the Bishops Meeting on February 2.
Metropolitan Christopher of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, who is paying a visit to Russia, took part in Monday's ceremony.
Moscow clerics and representatives of the public and youth organizations were also in attendance.
After the Divine Liturgy, Patriarch Kirill was congratulated by the Synod, bishops, clerics and the flock.
