Russia helps reconstruct Orthodox monasteries in Kosovo

Russia is helping reconstruct orthodox monasteries in Kosovo, ITAR-TASS reported.

Currently four orthodox monasteries in Kosovo are being restored. Moscow has allocated USD 2 million for the projects.

Gracanica, Visoki-Decani and Pecka Patrijaršija, as well as Saint Bogorodica Ljeviska church, which has been burnt down by Kosovo Albanians, are in a poor condition due to the chronic shortage of money. All temples are on the world cultural heritage list.
