The Holy Cross and St Basil the Great Church in Bucharest began the manifestations for its dedication day, on the eve of the Feast of the Elevation of the Holy Cross, 13 September 2016.

Following the Vigil Service, the relics of the Holy Virgin Martyr Philotheia from Curtea de Argeş, and a fragment of the Venerable Wood of the Holy Cross were carried in procession.

Hundreds of pilgrims, holding icons and candles, walked in procession towards Nicolae Iorga Park. There, His Eminence Calinic, Archbishop of Argeș, delivered a homily.

The evening concluded with a Byzantine Music Concert performed by Cantus Domini Choir.
