His Beatitude John X presides over the Divine Liturgy of Pentecost
His Beatitude John X the Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and all the east has assured that the Church of Antioch in which the disciples were first called, christians, is the church of the children of peace and non- violence. It is the church of staying in homeland despite all difficulties and calamities.
The words of His Beatitude were uttered in the sermon of the Divine Liturgy on Pentecost which His Beatitude celebrated with the participation of their Eminences: Metropolitan Paul Saliba (of Australia, New Zealand and the Phillipines), Metropolitan Siluan Muci (of Buenos Aires abd all Argentine), Metropolitan Ignatius Al-Houshi (of France, Western and Southern Europe), Metropolitan Joseph Zahlawi (of New York and all North America), Metropolitan Ghattas Hazim (Baghdad, Kuwait and Dependencies), with the following bishops: His Grace Nicholas Baalbaki, His Grace Costa Kayyal, His Grace Ephraim Maalouli, His Grace Nicholas Ozon, His Grace Qais Sadiq.
Many priests also participated in the Divine Liturgy with some deacons. There are also many visitors of the monastery with a delegation from North America, and another from the unions of the Russian and the Greek parliamentarians, with current and previous ministers. His Beatitude highlighted in his sermon the meaning of pentecost. He also emphasized the unity of the Church of Antioch and the unity of the Orthodox Church at large. After the Divine Liturgy, His Beatitude met with the faithful and the participating delegations.
