OCP Secretary Visits the Serbian Patriarchate
George Alexander, Secretary of Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE (Pan-Orthodox Christian Society) visited the Information Services department of the Serbian Orthodox Church on 12th April 2018.
Archdeacon Radomir Rarric, the chief of Dept. received OCP Secretary. The visit was part of strengthening the existing fraternal relations between the department of Information Services of Serbian Patriarchate and the Public Relations and Information Services dept. of Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE. Archdeacon Radomir was presented with the icon of three saints, copy of Orthodox Dilemma, and traditional Kerala lamp. George was presented with a New Testament copy of the Serbian version of the Holy Bible. Vukica Pavicevic, aide to the Secretary in Belgrade was present for the occasion.
His Holiness Irinej – (Archbishop of Peć, Metropolitan of Belgrade and Karlovci, and Serbian Patriarch) received George Alexander, Secretary of Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE (Pan-Orthodox Christian Society) on 13th April 2018 at the Patriarchal residence in Belgrade.
During the thirty minutes conversation, the Patriarch and Secretary spoke on a wide range of subjects, including the current status of the theological dialogue between Eastern Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox Churches. Secretary conveyed the urgent need and importance for revamping the dialogue between Eastern and Oriental Orthodox families. They also spoke on the situation of Church in India and the Serbian-India relations.
Dr Deacon Alexander – secretary to the office of the Serbian Patriarch and Vukica Pavicevic – aide to the OCP Secretary in Belgrade were present for the occasion. On behalf of the OCP family, George presented Patriarch with the Indian Icon of St Peter and St Thomas (written by Fr Bobby Varghese), a traditional Malankara Lamp and a special Pan-Orthodox icon collage. Dr Deacon Alexander was presented with the OCP Pan-Orthodox icon of St. Gregory of Parumala.
