New ambassador of Greece met Patriarch of Bulgaria

The new Ambassador of Greece to Bulgaria, Dimitrios Chronopoulos, met Patriarch Neofit of Bulgaria this morning.

They discussed issues related to the diplomatic, political and ecclesiastical relations between Bulgaria and Greece, and confirmed the mutual desire to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in a spirit of goodwill.

On his part, the Greek ambassador conveyed to the Patriarch of Bulgaria the salutations from both the Archbishop of Athens and the President of the Hellenic Republic who wished Dimitrios Chronopoulos much success in his new duties and expressed the desire that the Patriarchate of Bulgaria should cooperate with the Greek Embassy.
