Metropolitan Hilarion meets with the Order of Malta Secretary-General for International Relations

Октобар 2016 - 16:00On October 3, 2016, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s department for external church relations, met with the diplomatic counsellor to the Grand Chancellor of the Sovereign Order of Malta and the Order’s secretary-general for international relations, Stefano Ronca, at the Ss Cyril and Methodius Institute of Post-Graduate Studies (CMI).
Regular services with sign language translation commence at UOC-MP cathedral

Andrew and Vladimir of the Resurrection Cathedral [which has been under construction since 2007] of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate in Kiev. The first Divine Liturgy with sign language translations was celebrated there on October 2 and headed by Bishop Varsonofy of Borodyanka.

New Monument to Tsesarevich Alexei Unveiled in Crimea

On 29th September, a new monument to Tsesarevich Alexei Nikolaevich was unveiled in the courtyard of St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in the Crimean city of Yalta. The site was chosen in memory of the historic visit for the consecration of the cathedral by Emperor Nicholas II and his family in 1902.
Russian-German youth theological meetings held in Moscow

Октобар 2016 - 14:19From September 27 to October 3, 2016, Youth Theological Meetings are being held in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Nizhniy Novgorod, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. The events are organized by the Churches in Europe working group of the St. Petersburg Dialogue forum. This project enables students of theological departments of German universities to familiarize themselves with the system of higher religious education in Russia and to establish academic contacts.
