Moscow Patriarchate in the USA launches online Orthodox radio

The diocese of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA (Moscow Patriarchate) has launched a new online Orthodox radio station, according to the diocesan site.

The streaming station “Salvation” represents a new missionary outreach of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, featuring news of the Russian Orthodox Church, lives of the saints, Church feasts, liturgical music, homilies, lectures, and live discussions, among other materials. The station, unveiled with the blessing of His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk, administrator of the Moscow Patriarchate parishes in America, is intended as a missionary, catechetical, and educational tool for the faithful of the Russian Orthodox Church living in America and elsewhere.

The Patron Saint-day of Saints Peter and Paul Monastery was marked on 12 July 2017 with a Holy Hierarchal Liturgy officiated by Bishop Grigorije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina with the concelebration of Bishop Atanasije, abbots of  Tvrdos, Zitomislic and Duga Njiva monasteries, priests of the Diocese and in the presence of many believers.

The celebration of the monastery's patronal feast was continued with a traditional Vesper service and the Holy Liturgy at the Paul's cave. Fathers Benedict - abbot of St. Michael the Archangel Monastery at Prevlaka, Nektarije - abbot of the Duga Njiva monasterz and hieromonk Dimitrije from Tvrdos.

On Sunday June 25th, our St Petka kolo hosted an official welcome for our new parish priest V. Rev Father George Veselinovich, Protinica Karen and their daughter Alexa. A large table of delicious posno appetizers and desserts awaited the parish family and congregation after Liturgy. Pamela Matejevich, Kolo President, welcomed those in attendance and thanked both the Kolo Sisters and the St. Nicholas Outreach Committee jointly for making the day a success with fine food and decorations. Protinica Karen then spoke to those gathered saying thank you to the parish for their hospitality and warm welcome!

With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Irinej of Backa, His Grace Bishop Lukijan of Budim and Administrator of Temisoara Lukijan officiated the Holy Hieararchal Liturgy with the concelebration of local priests at his birthplace of Ada, on the occasion of his Patron Saint-day.

The upcoming celebration of the canonization and translation of the relics of Saint Mardarije of Libertyville and All-America, the first Serbian Orthodox Bishop of America and Canada, scheduled for July 14-16 at Saint Sava Monastery in Libertyville, is expected to be a Pan-Orthodox event reflecting our unity in Faith and common witness in this country, the Diocese of New Gracanica and Midwestern America announced today.

Leading the liturgical celebrations will be His Holiness Patriarch Irinej, 44th successor of Saint Sava on the holy primatial Throne of the Serbian Orthodox Church, who will be accompanied by several metropolitans and bishops of the Serbian Church, including all of the five active hierarchs of North and South America.
