Fresno Parish Celebrates Slava

St. Peter the Apostle parish’s 66th annual commemoration of Ss. Peter and Paul (Petrovdan) was held on Sunday, July 9. This day, at which we gather to honor our patron saint, is always a day of great joy.
On this very warm summer day here in the heart of California’s Central Valley, we gathered as a Eucharistic parish community which has been mystically identified with Ss. Peter & Paul—through Christ—to specifically ask them to intercede in our behalf, and to glorify God “who is wonderful in His saints.”

Јул 2017 - 12:39The church of Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Topcider District of Belgrade, the Endowment of Prince Milos Obrenovic, constructed in the first half of the 19th century, celebrated its Patron Saint-day (slava) on 12 July 2017. His Grace Bishop Arsenije of Toplica, elected Bishop of Nis, officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy.
The Bishop was concelebrated by clergy of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac with the presence of many faithful and representatives of the Bureau for Cooperation with the Churches and Religious Communities, and of the Armed Forces of Serbia.

On the feast day of Holy Apostles Peter and Paul the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy was celebrated at the Cathedral church of Saint Jovan Vladimir in Bar. The Liturgy was served by dean of the church protopresbyter Slobodan Zekovic with the concelebration of the local priests.
Vidovdan Commemorated at New Marcha Monastery

A number of priests from the Cleveland Deanery gathered at New Marcha Monastery on June 28th, 2017, to serve Divine Liturgy on the Feast of Vidovdan. Joining monastic Sister Anastasija and the assembled Orthodox faithful were Fr. Dragan Goronjic, Dean of the Cleveland Deanery and parish priest at Holy Trinity in Youngstown, and Fr. Sinisa Hrvacevic, parish priest of St. George in Lorain.
