Fr. Miladin Garic has reposed in the Lord

Protopresbyter-staurophor Miladin Garic reposed peacefully last night about 1 AM, November 24.
Fr Miladin passed away on the day of St Stefan Decanski.
His wishes were to have a funeral service in the Church of the Holy Assumption and final burial in Jackson at St. Sava beside his wife Protonica Nina.
No funeral plans yet. They will be posted as soon as they are available.
My the Holy Spirit equip him with His breath!
Patronal Feast Day at Homebush

The Holy Archangel Michael Parish and Church Community in Homebush, celebrated its patronal feast day the Holy Archangel Michael on Sunday, 22 November 2015.
This very solemn occasion was enhanced with two important events for this parish, which consists of Orthodox faithful who come from almost all over the world, and is known for conducting services in the English language.

St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church of Santa Clara Valley celebrated its Patron Saint in their new Church that is still under construction.
His Grace Bishop Maxim accompanied with Bay Area priests conducted Hierarchical Divine Liturgy along with number of faithful that include all neighboring parishes, as well as host parish.
Slava of the Sacred Monastery of Holy Archangel Michael in Kovilj

On Friday, 20 November 2015, in the late afternoon, a solemn celebration of the patron of Holy monastery of Kovilj, the Holy Archangel Michael and all the Bodiless Powers of Heaven, began with the Great Vesper service in the monastery chapel of Venerable Fathers of Mount Athos.
Hieromonk Dionisije of the Kovilj Monastery served the Vesper service with the concelebration of deacons from Novi Sad – Veljko Vasiljev and Zoran Malesevic. His Eminence, Metropolitan Dr. Porfirije of Zagreb-Ljubljana conducted the monastic choir at the right chanters’ apse. The vesper service was attended by Their Graces Bishop Dr. Irinej of Backa and Bishop Jeronim of Jegar.
Church slava and 170th Anniversary of the Cathedral church

The Cathedral church in Belgrade marked, on Saturday, its church slava, the Feast of Holy Michael the Archangel, with the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy which was officiated by His Grace Bishop Arsenije of Toplica.
On Saturday, 21 November 2015, the Cathedral church in Belgrade celebrated its church slava, the Synaxis of The Holy Archangel Michael and all the Bodiless Powers of Heaven, as well as an unusual jubilee – 170th anniversary since the beginning of the service in this building. The First Belgrade Singing Society, the choir of Cathedral church sang responses. The host of this year’s slava of the Cathedral church was lawyer Toma Fila. A lots of faithful gathered on Saturday to prayerfully mark this feast day.
