Bishop Hrizostom of Zvornik-Tuzla serves memorial service for victims of the Patriotic War
22. Јул 2013 - 15:44His Grace Bishop Hrizostom of Zvornik-Tuzla visited yesterday Bratunac, Srebrenica and Skelane and in all places served memorial service for fallen victims of the Patriotic War.
Bishop Hrizostom was accompanied by episcopal dean of Zvornik-Tuzla Vidoje Lukic, protopresbyter-stavrophor Ljubisa Vujicic and Borisav Todix, protonamesnik Nenad Djuric and presbyter Mile Jovanovic. His Grace was welcomed by protopresbyter Borisav Todic. In the courtyard of the church of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos His Grace was welcomed by protopresbyter-stavrophor Borisav Todic. After prayer at the church, Bishop Hrizostom served the memorial service for the Serbian victims of the area of Bratunac in the Patriotic War at the cemetary of Bratunac.

Јул 2013 - 12:48His Grace newly elected Bishop Atanasije of Bihac-Petrovac, with the blessing of His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej and as the competent bishop in charge of the army in Bosnia and Herzegovina, received a delegation of the Ministry of Defence of Bosnia Herzegovina at the Serbian Patriarchate yesterday. The delegation consists of Deputy Minister Mr. Mirko Okolic, assistant to Deputy Minister of Defence Mr. Dusko Radic and presbyters Milorad Milinkovic and Mitar Milinkovic. On this occasion they discussed actual topics from the religious life of the Orthodox faithful.
Head of the Serbian Orthodox Church visited churches of the Moscow Kremlin and the Intercession Monastery
22. Јул 2013 - 9:49The Holiest Patriarch of the Serbian Church, who is in the official visit to the Russian Orthodox Church, visited on 19 July 2013, visited cathedral churches and churches of the Moscow Kremlin.
The delegation of our Church toured the Cathedral church of the Dormition of Most Holy Theotokos, church of the Archangel and the Annunciation cathedral church, where they venerated the shrines, especially the saints of Moscow – Peter, John, Philip and Hermogenes. Among the shrines of the Kremlin, to the pleasant surprise of our delegation, there were preserved frescoes of Saint Simeon and Saint Sava, as well as Holy Prince Lazar, the martyr of Kosovo – all from XV and XVI century. Hence they testify to a great respect of two local Orthodox Churches which has lasted for centuries. The delegation of the Serbian Orthodox Church had an extraordinary honor to fully get to know the magnificence of the famous Kremlin palace.
Feast of Saint Peter in Zvecan

Central celebration of the 1700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan in Kukljin

Јул 2013 - 12:21On Saturday, 13 July 2013, on the feast of Saint Peter, the central celebration of the Diocese of Krusevac on the occasion of the marking the 1700th anniversary of the publication of the Edict of Milan (313 A.D.) was held on Gradiste hill which belongs to a village of Kukljin (near Krusevac). The church of Holy Emperor Constantine and Empress Helen is located on the hill which locals call Gradiste.
