The Feast of Saint Lazarus celebrated in Gracanica
1. Јул 2013 - 10:58The feast-day of Saint Lazarus of Kosovo (Vidovdan) was solemnly celebrated in Gracanica monastery. The memorial service was served for the Kosovo heroes at Gazimestan.
In the monastery of Gracanica, the feast of Saint Lazarus, Great-martyr of Kosovo, was solemnly celebrated. His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, officiated the Divine Liturgy. Their Graces Bishops Justin of Timok, Teodosije of Raska-Prizren and the retired Bishop Atanasije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina along with clergy and monks from several dioceses of our Church concelebrated to the Bishop. High representatives of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Srpska attended the Liturgy: Minister of Culture Mr. Bratislav Petkovic, Director of the Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities Dr. MiletaRadojevic and Minister of Transport of the Republic of Srpska Mr. Nedeljko Cubrilovic with colleagues.

1. Јул 2013 - 10:52On the Eve of the feast day of Saint Lazarus His Holiness Irinej solemnly welcomed in Gracanica monastery.
The head of the Serbian Orthodox Church came to the monastery of Gracanica accompanied by Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren and Bishop Justin of Timok. The clergy of the Diocese of Raska-Prizren along with children wearing national costumes welcomed the Patriarch and the bishops. After vespers and supper, church dignitaries and guests attended the traditional poetic vigil in front of the monastery church.
