Feast of the Holy Cross at the Phanar

On Sunday, September 14, 2014, His All-Holiness presided over the Divine Liturgy celebrating the great feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross at the Patriarchal Church of St. George, together with Metropolitans Kyrillos of Imvros and Tenedos, Theoleptos of Ikonion, Andreas of Arkalochori, Kastelli and Viannos, Stefanos of Kallioupolis and Madytos, Elpidophoros of Bursa, Athenagoras of Kydonies and Maximos of Selyvria. Also serving as the official celebrant was Archimandrite Bartholomew Samaras, Chief Secretary of the Ecumenical Patriarchate's Holy and Synod.

Among those in attendance were Metropolitans Germanos of Theodoroupolis and Panteleimon of Veroia, Naoussa and Campania, as well as Ambassador Nikolaos Matthioudakis, Consul General of Greece in Istanbul, and many faithful pilgrims from around the world.
