His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, received in an audience a delegation from Iran headed by Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan  Mostafavi, at the Serbian Patriarchate on 18 September 2017.

Ayatollah Mostafavi expressed his gratitude to the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church for the cordial reception during which they discussed theological, ethical and social topics. The Serbian Patriarch thanked the distinguished guest for the visit, wishing him every God's blessing.

Continuing tradition, on Sunday September 10 for the commencement of the 2017-2018 church school year, the St. Nicholas parish of Philadelphia served the moliban and blessing of the children for the upcoming school year. This year ‘s theme is “ We Worship God In Church” and will focus on our life in the Church, the Divine Liturgy, and the Holy Gospel. The children are divided into five class levels, and new to this year is a first grade class.

On Tuesday, September 5th, clergy and faithful from throughout the Cleveland and Pittsburgh Deaneries of the Eastern-American Diocese gathered around His Grace Bishop Irinej at New Marcha Monastery in joyful celebration of their Hierarch’s Names Day. Services began with fourteen clergy greeting His Grace outside of the small monastery church of St. Archangel Gabriel. The clergy entered in solemn procession as faithful sang gloriously in the nave. Blue vestments were worn by all concelebrating clergy in honor and celebration of the Apodosis of the Feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos.

The feast day of the Transfer of the Relics of Saint Alexander Nevsky was solemnly celebrated with the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church dedicated to this great Russian saint in Belgrade.

With the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, His Grace Bishop Antonije of Moravica, Vicar of Serbian Patriarch and head of the Representation of the Serbian Church in Moscow, celebrated the Holy Liturgy. The Bishop was concelebrated by the clergy of Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac.

On the feast-day of the Synaxis of All Serbian Saints Bishop Sergije of Bihac-Petrovac was enthroned in the Cathedral church of Holy Apostles Peter and Paul  (photo gallery).

His Eminence Metropolitan Porfirije of Zagreb-Ljubljana officiated the solemn Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of Their Graces Bishops: Sergije of Bihac-Petrovac, Pahomije of Vranje, Jovan of Sumadija, Fotije of Dalmatia and elected of Zvornik and Tuzla; Atanasije of Milesheva, Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic, Marko of Bregalnica, Gerasim of Gornji Karlovac, Ilarion of Timok, retired Bishops Konstantin of Middle Europe and Georgije of Canada. The solemn rite of the enthronement was attended by Their Graces Bishops: Jefrem of Banja Luka, Vasilije of Srem, Mitrophan of Canada, retired Bishop Vasilije of Zvornik-Tuzla and Archimandrite Nikodim, elected Bishop of Dalmatia.
