Nativity of the Lord in New Gracanica

Јануар 2021 - 11:56The great Cathedral church of the Resurrection of the Lord testifies to a well-known truth and a common experience that Serbian Christmas is decorated with a whole series of beautiful customs: a decorated Yule log (badnjak); on the straw, which symbolizes the manger of Bethlehem, garlic, wheat, dried fruit with walnuts, a kissing icon surrounded by bouquets of flowers are placed. The whole festive decor was the work of hands and an expression of love of hard-working sisters and youth at the Cathedral church.
Aid delivered to Petrinja and Glina
12. Јануар 2021 - 11:45With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Heruvim in the Diocese of Osijek-Polje and Baranjaa aid has been collected for those endangered by the recent earthquakes that hit the Diocese of Gornji Karlovac.
Material assistance in the form of food and hygiene supplies was loaded on January 8, 2021 in Osijek and Borovo with the effort of parishioners and the competent clergy. On the day of the Holy First Martyr and Archdeacon Stephen, trucks with material assistance arrived for those in need in Petrinja and Glina.
The Feast of the Nativity of Christ in New York & New Jersey

Јануар 2021 - 10:07On Wednesday, January 6th, 2021, His Grace Bishop Irinej of Eastern America celebrated the Hierarchical Vesperal Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Conception of St. John the Baptist in Paterson, New Jersey. Concelebrating with the Bishop were Protopresbyter Djokan Majstorovic, Presbyter Lavrentije Soper and Protodeacon Milos Zdralic.
That evening, the Eve of the Nativity of Christ, Bishop Irinej was joined in the celebration of the Christmas Vigil by Protopresbyter Milan Dragovic and Protodeacon Milos Zdralic, for the New York Serbian Community of Saint Sava Cathedral at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
Midnight Christmas Liturgy in Saint Sava Cathedral in Belgrade
11. Јануар 2021 - 9:53HIs Grace Bishop Stefan of Remesiana officiated the Midnight Holy Liturgy at the Saint Sava Cathedral in the Vracar district on 7 January 2020, on the feast day of the Nativity of the Lord - Christmas.
After the three-year break due to the works on the interior decoration of the Cathedral on Christmas, at midnight, the first Christmas Liturgy was celebrated. The brotherhood of the church concelebrated to the Bishop in the prayerful presence of pious faithful people. The Holy Liturgy was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Nikola Selakovic and the head of the Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities Vladimir Rogaovic, PhD.
