Hierarchical Liturgy, Elevation, and Baptism

On July 19th, 2015, His Grace Bishop Dr Mitrophan celebrated the Holy Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at St Simeon Serbian Orthodox Church in North Miami, Florida. During the service, His Grace elevated Fr Svetozar Veselinovic to the rank of “Stavrophor” - or “Cross-Bearer.” Fr Svetozar was gifted with the distinction of wearing the pectoral cross. The community was further blessed as His Grace Bishop Dr Mitrophan baptized two children into the Holy Orthodox Faith.
Week Two at Shadeland Camp

From Sunday, July 19th through Saturday, July 25th, youth from all over the Eastern Diocese travelled to Shadeland, PA for camp. Beginning with a bonfire on Sunday evening, youth ranging in age from 7 to 17 shared a little bit about themsleves, socialized, joked, and prepared Smores.
Feast of the Holy Apostles Peter & Paul in Fresno

On the occasion of the Feast Day of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, His Grace Bishop Maxim visited the faithful of the Saint Peter Serbian Orthodox Church in Fresno, California to lead this congregation on this Feast day for a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy and Parish Slava celebration. Assisting His Grace for this Archpastoral visit were Protodeacon Brad Matthews and Deacon Dragan Stojanovich. Upon arriving at the Church Vladika was welcomed by the Deacons, Reader, and Acolytes at with all of the parishioners filling this temple and the singing was sublime. Similarly, the beauty of this temple, erected in 1957, and the preservation of it was evident.

The Solemn Liturgy in the Saint Sava Memorial Cathedral. An exhibition “Four Centuries of the Imperial House of the Romanovs – Awakening of Memories”.
The Serbian Orthodox Church honoured with the solemn Divine Liturgy in the Memorial Cathedral of Saint Sava on 17 July 2015, the sufferers for Christ and Russia, the Passion-bearers, Tsar Nicholas II and his family. His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of Their Graces Bishops Lavrentije of Sabac, Nikanor of Banat, Pahomije of Vranje, Teodosije of Raska-Prizren, David of Krusevac, Arsenije of Toplica and Jeronim of Jegar. Bishop Milutin of Valjevo was also present at this solemn Eucharistic gathering.
Patriarch Irinej visiting the Saint Christopher Monastery

His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej visited the monastery of Holy Martyr Christopher at Mislodjin, in the Archdiocese of Belgrade-Karlovac, on 16 July 2015.
On this occasion Patriarch Irinej was informed about the final works relating to the construction of the monastery church, which was built on the conserved foundations of an old church which had been built, according to a tradition, during the reign of Serbian King Dragutin. According to archeological research, the founding of this sacred place has been located into the 15th century and the time of Despot Stefan Lazarevic. It was in the mid-16th century that Ottoman invaders plundered and burnt down this holy shrine, slaying monastery brotherhood. While digging the foundations for the new church, preserved bones of murdered monks were found, and they will be placed in a reliquary in the crypt of the new monastery church.
