Patriarch Irinej celebrated Liturgy in Gracanica Monastery on Saint Lazarus of Serbia Day

On occasion of the Serbian Saint Lazarus Day, His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch celebrated the Divine Liturgy in Gracanica Monastery in Kosovo and Metochia, with the concelebration of Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral, Their Graces Bishops Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic, Teodosije of Raska-Prizren, Jovan of Slavonia, retired Atanasije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina and the priesthood and monks from some Dioceses of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
Following the Liturgy, in which about thousand believers participated, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch said that today all Serbs were spiritually on Kosovo.
Remains of 23 Metropolitans of Cetinje reburied in Montenegro

On June 20, 2015, the remains of 23 metropolitans of Cetinje in Montenegro, exhumed in the 20th century, were reburied, reports Sedmitza.ru with reference to the official website of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The reburial ceremony took place near the Church of Nativity of the Mother of God (“Cipur Church”), built on the ruins of the old Cetinje Monastery.
The hierarchs’ remains had been exhumed in 1986-1989 under the pretext of carrying out an archaeological research on the territory of the monastery’s necropolis on Cipur – the site of their original burial.

The Seventeenth Annual Vidovdan dinner and program were held at the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Carmichaels, Pennsylvania June 28, 2015. The dinner and program are held each year to remember, honor and reflect on the Christian martyrdom associated with Kosovo from 1389 to the present.

His Grace Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren with the priesthood, monks and the faithful,welcomed His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej at Gracanica monastery, Kosovo and Metochia, on the eve of the greatest Serbian Church national holiday, St. Lazarus of Kosovo Day.
Next to Patriarch Irinej, His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral and Their Graces Bishops retired Atanasije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina and Jovan of Slavonia also were present.

His Holiness Serbian Patriarch visited the Serbian community and St. George Church-school congregation in Waterloo on Monday, June 22, 2015.
Accompanying the Serbian Patriarch was Bishop of Eastern America, His Grace Mitrophan, as well as V. Rev. Stavrophor Vasilije Tomic, Episcopal Deputy and Protodeacon Damjan Bozic.
