Serbian Patriarch Irinej and Metropolitan Sotirios of Canada

His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej, administrator of the Diocese of Canada, visited His Eminence Metropolitan Sotirios of Canada and the residence of the Metropolis of the Patriarchate of Constantinople in Toronto.
Accompanying His Holiness were His Grace Bishop Mitrophan of Eastern America, V. Rev. Vasilije Tomic, Episcopal Deputy and parish priest in north Toronto, Protosindjel Vasilije (Gavrilovic), abbot of the Transfiguration Monastery in Milton, Protodeacon Damjan Bozic from Belgrade, and Milan Lesic, president of the St. George church-school congregation in Waterloo. His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej and those accompanying him were warmly received by His Eminence Archbishop of Toronto and Metropolitan of Canada Sotirios, together with the Vicar Bishop Christopher of Andida. The Greek Orthodox Church in Canada is the largest Orthodox jurisdiction. Since Metropolitan Sotirios arrived in 1982 to this day the number of churches has increased from 22 to 74.
Historic Visit: The First Serbian Patriarch visits Montreal

His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej, administrator of the Diocese of Canada, visited on Thursday, June 18, 2015 the city of Montreal. During this visit the Serbian Patriarch visited the Holy Trinity church-school congregation.
This is the first time in the history of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Diocese of Canada that a first hierarch of our church visited Montreal and the Serbian community that has existed here since 1954.

His Holiness Serbian Patiarch Irinej, administrator of the Diocese of Canada, visited the St. Sava Church in London on Wednesday, June 18, 2015.
London is a city in the Canadian province of Ontario. It is located between lakes Huron and Erie, half way between Detroit and Toronto. It is one of the industrial centers of the province. Important industries include the auto industry (locomotives, military vehicles, car parts), biotechnology and information technology. The international airport of London is located 10 kilometers from the city. The first fort here was built in 1826, whileLondon has had the status of a city since 1855.
Patriarch Irinej at Assumption of the Most Holy Theotokos Church "Grachanica" in Windsor

On Tuesday His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej, administrator of the Diocese of Canada, visited the Assumption of the Most Holy Theotokos Church in Windsor after visiting the other Windsor church, St. Demetrius.
The clergy from the Serbian, Bulgarian, Greek, Russian and Antiochian Orthodox Churches welcomed the Serbian Archpastor with many faithful. The youngest welcomed His Holiness with song, donned in Serbian folk dress, and greeting the patriarch with bread and salt. The welcome was beautiful.

After the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy at St. Archangel Michael, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej, administrator of the Diocese of Canada, visited the oldest church in Vancouver, dedicated to the first Serbian Archbishop, St. Sava.
The welcome at the church was magnificent: many of faithful from Vancouver and surrounding areas welcomed the first heirarch of the Serbian Church with joy and love.
