On May 28, 2013, His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem and All Palestine and His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia consecrated the Naval Cathedral of St Nicholas in Kronstadt after its extensive restoration and celebrated the Divine Liturgy in it.

On Thursday, May 23, 2013, at the invitation of the local Autocephalous Church, His All-Holiness visited the Czech Lands and Slovakia to attend celebrations for the 1150th anniversary since the arrival of Saints Cyril and Methodius in the region.
Accompanying the Ecumenical Patriarch were Metropolitans Yurij of Winnipeg and Canada and Chrysostomos of Myra, as well as the Grand Archdeacon Maximos Vgenopoulos, Archimandrite Amvrosios Chorozides, Mr. Nicholas Manginas, and Mr. Symeon Frantzelas.

On May 28, 2013, upon his arrival at the Valamo Monastery, His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem and All Palestine, who is on an official visit to the Russian Orthodox Church, and his delegation visited the Cathedral of the Holy Transfiguration. The monastery brethren met His Beatitude to the sound of bells.

On May 24, 2013, the commemoration day of Ss Cyril and Methodius, Equal-to-the-Apostles, Teachers of the Slavs (Patriarch Kirill’s name day), and the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture, His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem and His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Assumption in the Moscow Kremlin.

On 17 May 2013, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations (DECR), who was making a working trip to Istanbul with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, visited the Patriarchate of Constantinople. Metropolitan Hilarion venerated the relics of Ss Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian and John Chrysostom at the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. George in the Phanar.
