The religious education division gave one of the best students in the world
Student Igor Jovanovic, nominated by Milos Jeftic, a religious teacher at the Diocesan Deanery of Pecinci, is ranked among the 50 best students in the world and is fighting for victory in the competition of all world high school students, masters and doctoral students - over 3,500 nominees from 94 countries, according to organizers of the competition, the UK-based Varkey Foundation.
Besides Igor Jovanovic, at the "Global Student" competition, religious teacher Milos Jeftic was the mentor of two other nominated students from the Republic of Serbia, from the Deanery of Pecinci, from which Emilija Bastajic also entered the wider selection.
Igor Jovanović, the award-winning innovator, artist and athlete, member of the OSCE mission, participant in over 120 projects in Europe and the world, joined in 2018 the religious education division of religious teacher Milos Jeftic, the educational center "The Fellowship of the Dragon in Green Socks" (Druzina Zmaj u zelenim carapama) , which was founded with the blessing of Bishop Vasilije of Srem exactly one decade ago. During its martyrial work, despite numerous obstructions and without any help (everything is funded by a religious teacher from his salary), the fellowship has won hundreds of awards in 80 competitions in over 40 scientific fields! It is unusual that nothing has ever been mentioned about these achievements in the schools where religious teacher Milos Jeftic worked, who is the first religious teacher to be awarded the "Saint Sava Award" in 2021, a high recognition of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia.
- This is a great success of Serbian education, which was achieved by our Fellowship of the Dragon in Green Socks, probably the best informal educational center in the world. I am honored that, out of several extraordinary talents nominated in front of the Fellowship, the jury of the Varkey Foundation chose me. I would like to thank my mentor, religious teacher Milos Jeftic and His Grace Bishop Vasilije of Srem, and I invite all those interested to financially support the work of our Fellowship. It will pay off, said student Igor Jovanovic, who also submitted photos from Orenburg, with the Minister of Education of Montenegro Vesna Bratic at the forum "Eurasia Global 2021" which is held under the auspices of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, where the representative of the Republic Serbia is, as well as from the awarding of the highest educational recognition, the "Saint Sava Award", which, at the request of his religious teacher, he received in the Government of Serbia.
