Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Resurrection in Jerusalem

His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew presides over Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew officiated at the Patriarchal and Hierarchal co-celebration in the Church of the Resurrection in Jerusalem, also serving were Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos III, the clergy of the Synod of the Ecumenical Throne and the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, the priests and deacons, Sunday, May 25, 2014. Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew is currently in in Jerusalem tonight where he will meet with Pope Francis.

His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew arrives at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv on Friday, 23 May 2014.

IOCC Responds as Serbia and Bosnia Brace for More Flooding

On the heels of epic floods that left at least 37 dead and thousands homeless in Serbia and Bosnia, a second surge of floodwaters continues to fill an already swollen Sava River and threatens thousands of lives as well as Serbia’s biggest power plant. The Nikola Tesla power plant, which provides roughly half of the country’s electricity, is in the deadly path of a flood wave created by the heaviest rains to hit the region in 120 years. In Bosnia, evacuees are being placed in temporarily shelters like military barracks, but many more await help in areas that are not accessible yet.

Patriarch Kirill addresses the Serbian people with words of condolence and support

On May 21, 2014, during his meeting with the TV program “Word of a Pastor” team, which took place at the working Patriarchal residence in Chisty Lane in Moscow, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia made a special address to the Serbian people in connection with the large-scale floods in this country, reports the Synodal Information Department.

“I would like to address our Serbian brothers as well as the Russian people with a special word in connection with the terrible cataclysm that befell the Serbian people and Serbia.

Metropolitan Tikhon offers prayers, support as flooding worsens

As of Monday, May 19, 2014, International Orthodox Christian Charities reported that at least 37 were known to be dead and thousands had been left homeless across Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
