Birth of Saint John the Baptist in Serbian capital

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch with the clergy of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy at the church dedicated to the yesterday's feast day - the Birth of Saint John the Baptist and Forerunner at the Central cemetary in Belgrade. 

Following the procession around the church and blessing the slava cake, His Holiness consecrated the candle lighting chapel and then awarded presbyter Ivan Strbacki, the first parish of this church, with the right to wear a red belt.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch received Mr. Kristian Vigenin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade on 3 July 2014.

His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej receives Mr. Konstantinos Ikonomidis, Ambassador of Greece to Serbia, at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade on 1 July 2014.

Serbian Patriarch meets with Archbishop Dominique Mamberti

In the attendance of many bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej received Archbishop Dominique Mamberti, Secretary of the Holy See for Relations with States, i.e. Foreign Affairs Minister of the state of Vatican at the Serbian Patriarchate on June 30th.

Archbishop’s delegation consisted of: Apostolic Nuncio H.E.  Archbishop Orlando Antonini, Archbishop and Metropolitan of Belgrade Stanislav Hocevar and Bishop of Zrenjanin Bishop Ladislav Nemet.

Minister of Justice Nikola Selakovic visits Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral

Minister of Justice in the Government of Serbia Mr. Nikola Selakovic visited the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral on July 1st. 

Minister firstly visited the court church at Cipur where he laid wreath at the grave of King Nikola, and after that he venerated the hand of Saint John the Baptist, the particle of the Precious Cross of the Lord and the relics of Saint Peter of Cetinje.
