A burglary into the Serbian Orthodox church at Markusica
6. August 2020 - 9:44The Serbian Orthodox church at Markusica, Croatia, was broken into on the 1st of August 2020. A broken door at the southern entrance to the church was first discovered by a sacristan, thereafter he found out that the interior of the church had been searched into. A small amount of money was stolen, while the inventory remained intact. Police have conducted an investigation, and an investigation is underway, archpriest-staurophore Dobrivoj Filipovic reports.

6. August 2020 - 9:43On the 25th anniversary of the beginning of the military action “Storm”, on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, Metropolitan Porfirije of Zagreb-Ljubljana, served as a memorial service for the innocent victims of the war in the 1990s.
Surrounded by the clergy of the Cathedral in Zagreb, representatives of the Serbian National Council and of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia and the faithful, Metropolitan Porfirije served an annual memorial service for the victims of the “Storm”, but also in the days immediately following that military action.
