It is with exceedingly great joy and anticipation that we write to invite all faithful and friends of our God-protected Diocese to our annual Diocesan Day Celebration and Patronal Celebration of the Venerable Mother Angelina at Shadeland, 25072 State Highway #18, Springboro, PA 16435, on Saturday, August 5th, 2017.

On the occasion of his inauguration as President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej attended a formal reception at the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade on June 23rd, 2017.
A high Church delegation was composed of the following hierarchs: His Eminence Porfirije, Metropolitan of Zagreb-Ljubljana, and Their Graces Bishops: Irinej of Backa, Fotije of Dalmatia (elected Bishop of Zvornik-Tuzla), Milutin of Valjevo, Theodosije of Raska-Prizren and Vicar Bishop Arsenije (elected Bishop of Nis).
Patriarch Irinej visited the Monastery of the Image of Mother of God not-made-by-hands

His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej visited the monastery dedicated to the Icon of the Mother of God in the hamlet Drobnjaci underneath the Avala mountain, on June 25, 2017.
The Patriarch greeted many faithful and abbess Zlata with her sisterhood and inquired about the construction works which have been underway.
Washington Deanery Christian Education Meeting

On Thursday June 15th the new director of Christian Education for the Eastern Diocese, Dean Dr. Jovan Antic, met with the clergy and church school coordinators of the Washington Deanery at St.John the Baptist Serbian Orthodox Church in Paterson NJ.. Meeting with Deacon Jovan were V.Rev. Fr. Alexander Vlajkovich (Dean of the Washington Deanery), V.Rev. Fr. Djokan Majstorovic (host priest), V. Rev. Fr. Ivan Marjanovic (Portland ME.), V. Rev. Fr. Vladislav Radujkovic (New York City), V. Rev. Fr. Zoran Radovic (Elizabeth, NJ.), Rev. Fr. Sasa Nedic (Elizabeth, NJ.), Rev. Fr. Borjan Vitanov (Lebanon, PA.), Rev. Fr. Christopher Rockage (Steelton, PA.), V. Rev. Fr. Milorad Orlic and Protinica Milena Orlic (Philadelphia, PA.).
George Mirich, Sr. Reposes in the Lord

George Mirich, Sr. fell asleep in our Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday June 20th. George was the president of the Executive Board of Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church on Laird Avenue in Youngstown, OH and has been a member of the board for 44 years. He presently served as a member of the Diocesan Audit Board and was a past member of the Diocesan Council. Visiting hours will be held at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home (3100 Canfield Rd. Youngstown) on Friday June 23 from 3-8 pm with Pomen at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church on Saturday June 24 at 10 am. His Grace Bishop Irinej, together with the Members of the Diocesan Council and Diocesan Audit Board offer their most sincere condolences on behalf of the plentitude of the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Eastern America to the faithful of the Holy Trinity Parish and Church-School Community on the loss of the dedicated leader of many years.
